This bowl is made from wild clay foraged in Minnesota, USA.
This sculptural bowl is formed from hollowing out a single lump of clay. The spontaneous motions of excavating and shaping the form give rise to gestures which, through slight refinement, capture a sense of moment reminiscent of stone caught in water’s path.
