The plate is made of Yeoju red clay sourced by the artist from Icheon, Gyeonggi-do Province, and glaze.
This plate underscores the meeting point between our ancestors and our generation, old and new, past and present. Each inspired by different excavation sites from the provinces of South Korea where history is unearthed back to the surface. Excavation sites are these time capsules, foregrounds of anecdotes of the past, and evidence of traces of humans before us.
