The bowl is made of Korean traditional paper and Ottchil lacquer.
This bowl takes inspiration from the Korean ‘gokkal’ which means conical shape. The origin of the word is a cone-shaped paper hat used by monks for ceremonial dances, and almost everything in the shape of a cone is said to be gokkal in Korea. Each gokkal is light, rhythmic, papery, temporary and impermanent.
